Pressure vessel steel plate refers to carbon steel and low alloy steel plates used to manufacture pressure vessel shells. It includes carbon steel, carbon-manganese steel, micro-alloy steel, low-alloy high-strength steel and low-temperature steel. The working temperature is generally between -20°C and 500°C, and can reach 560°C in some cases. Among them, it mainly refers to 16MnR steel (16 manganese content low alloy steel, a type of steel), which is used to manufacture pressure vessels to ASME specifications.
1. Pressure vessel steel plates have good comprehensive mechanical properties and cold bending welding properties. The steel plate is required to meet the temperature, pressure strength, plasticity, toughness and other conditions under working conditions, and at the same time, it should have good processing performance during welding processing.2. Pressure vessel steel plates are normalized and heat treated, suitable for high temperature and high pressure applications, and have higher tensile strength and yield strength than ordinary stainless steel.3.
